I used to sit at my computer desk watching every one else live their lives. Click after click, feeling worse and worse about myself. Feeling incapable of tearing myself away from the screen. Like a mouse enchanted by a cobra. Now I seize every opportunity I can to travel. Unfortunately, I found myself travelling with a less than ideal companion for the past few weeks. I have however learnt a lot about myself in that time. I now know the type of person who does not belong in my life. You probably know the one I’m talking about. That soul sucking, uninspired, self-obsessed individual who believes their words are the be all and end all of any conversation. Only their opinions matter and only the sound of their own voice resonates. They come into your life and try to dominate and dictate the “correct” way of doing things. They intentionally and purposefully leach off of creative minds until it’s dry and brittle. I bit my tongue for too many days. Now I say a big fuck you and move on with my life.
Few things are impossible, and everything can be fixed. ;) I learnt that from my wonderful guide in Thailand. It’s now my mantra.
